After listening to angry comments from the community and realizing their mistakes, Microsoft decided to reconsider its views on the DRM policy of protecting its new Xbox One gaming console, saying that all previously announced restrictions will be removed.

Don Mattrick, president of Microsoft online business, made an official statement in which he indicated:

"We listened, heard and realized your desire for our console to be the best on the market."

With the abolition of all previously announced restrictions, the new Xbox One will be free from all requirements, like the PlayStation 4 from Sony. Owners will be allowed to exchange with friends, donate, rent and resell purchased game discs without any restrictions; the console will get rid of the regional binding - all games can be run on any console; availability of permanent access to the Internet will no longer be necessary (no checks once every 24 hours).

In addition, Mattrick said that along with the ability to buy a game disc in the traditional way, users will be able to download any game they like via Xbox LIVE on the day of release, without waiting for it to appear in local stores.

The official statement states that in order to remove all restrictions, the console owners will need to download the firmware update, which will be available starting from the first day of the console sales. Otherwise, all restrictions: check once every 24 hours, regional binding, and so on, will remain.

It’s also worth pointing out that in order to be able to use cloud technologies that promise to increase the performance of Xbox One several times, the availability of permanent Internet is still required.
