After all, tomorrow millions of customers will rush headlong to the Internet to download firmware and games, so PSN will probably have problems with access and speed of downloading files.

I unpacked my console, updated the firmware version, explored the interface, set everything up for myself, and also installed several games from the PSN Store for downloading. In the near future, expect from me a detailed review of the functions of the console, its features, as well as some games for it. The PS4's cardboard box was slightly torn from the top during transportation, which is not surprising, since at the Russian customs it was held for about a week, and God only knows what it had to go through there. To be honest, it is simply unrealistically convenient for my personal feelings. The differences from the gamepad for the PS3 are simply enormous. Some very unusual rough textured plastic, perfect ergonomics, modified hammers and analog handles. All this needs to be felt personally in order to understand how much time and effort Sony engineers have invested in the development of this controller.

Power cord with American plug. In the European sets, of course, the plug will be our own. And for this case, I had a domestic cable in store, which I plugged into the console without any problems, after which I connected it to the power supply network. The power supply unit at the console is universal and it works in the range of 110-250 V.

The tiny mono headset, of course, does not look very impressive. Nevertheless, she is quite capable of coping with her tasks during multiplayer battles.

USB cable - Micro USB for recharging the controller. I do not quite understand what prevented them from using the more common Mini USB, but than they are rich, as they say.

Complete HDMI cable. I had another wire sticking out of the TV, so I didn’t even unpack it. Let me remind everyone that the PS4 only supports outputting a signal via an HDMI cable. There will be no more analog signal. If your TV does not have an HDMI-In port, you should consider buying a new TV.

And here is the console itself. It is quite light and surprisingly small compared to the first PS3 revision, for example, which was quite impressive in size.

The console without any problems is put on the edge, even without a proprietary stand, which, by the way, is sold separately.

The PS4 is covered in the back with vents and various inlets.

So the console looks like the bottom.

The fact that the buttons for turning on the console and ejecting game discs are so recessed into the body that you simply cannot feel with your fingers turned out to be surprising to me. It turned out that it is enough just to hold your finger over this touch button, and the console will turn on or give you a game disc. Trifle, but incredibly nice little thing.
