The Japanese in this generation of game consoles were less fortunate than the rest. Just imagine: the Japanese game console appeared in the United States and European countries earlier than at home!
Sony's controversial decision initially caused a storm of indignation among Japanese consumers, but company representatives hurried to reassure the people of the rising sun. The delay in the PS4 release in their home country is caused solely by the fact that Sony wants to prepare unique game projects for the Japanese, which, of course, will appeal to local gamers. The company also wants to maximally translate Western blockbusters like Assassins Creed 4, Battlefield 4 and other popular games into Japanese.
So, the Japanese will have to wait for February 22, 2014, because it is on this day that the Playstation 4 gaming console will hit the shelves of local stores. And in order to stir up interest in the new set-top box and not allow the excitement to fade away, Sony advertisers prepared a wonderful promotional video demonstrating the launch of the PS4 in different parts of the world. It is curious that the launch of PS4 in Japan will occur exactly one year later from the moment when the very first console announcement took place (February 20, 2013).
Whatever the evil tongues say about the new Sony console, the Japanese really managed to create an amazingly attractive product, the shortage of which only confirms the fact that the PS4 is a welcome gift for any connoisseur of video games. To date, according to market analysts, more than 3,500,000 Playstation 4 consoles have been sold, but Sony is not in a hurry to publish official sales figures, apparently planning to do this later, when the number of consoles sold reaches 5 million.
