Microsoft is preparing more than 45 new applications for their gaming consoles.

Microsoft has published in its official blog a list of new applications for its Xbox 360 and Xbox One gaming consoles. It seems that the Redmond company is striving to create a full-fledged multifunctional entertainment center based on its consoles.

The introduction of new applications into operation is planned to be completed by the end of 2014, and their total number on Microsoft consoles will increase by 25% and amount to 225 pieces. Among the new applications were optimized for viewing on the TV screen Twitter, Vine, HBO GO, ShowTime Anytime, Comedy Central, Major League Gaming and many, many others.

As you know, Microsoft initially focused in its new Xbox One console not only on video games for hardcore players, but also on television services. This company has caused a wave of indignation among fans who were waiting for a more serious approach to creating a game console from the platform holder.
