Next year, the video game museum will open its doors in the USA

In the near future, all fans of various video games will be able to visit the first Videogame History Museum, which opens in the United States. According to the official website of the museum, its original location was planned in Silicon Valley, but on September 18 its final location in the city of Frisco (Texas) was announced.

The Museum of the History of Video Games was able to move forward thanks to the Frisco Community Development Corporation (Frisco Community Development Corporation): they allocated 800,000 dollars for its development, for the creation of additional parking spaces and for other preparatory work. An additional $ 100,000 was donated to the development of the museum by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Frisco Convention & Visitors Bureau.

“We are glad that video games now have a home,” said the founders.

The museum will occupy an area of ​​about 970 square meters and will be located inside the Frisco Discovery Center (Frisco Discovery Center). It will contain a collection of consoles, gaming machines, portable games, classic games and much more, reports resource techtimes.com.

The founders are still waiting for a public hearing on the approval of the museum’s finances, design and lease agreement. Construction is planned for the beginning of January, and its grand opening - for April 2015.
