Despite the fact that initially the start of sales of the new American gaming console was scheduled for September 23, Microsoft had to reconsider its plans. Apparently, something went wrong in the way the Xbox management wanted.
The launch of Xbox One in China has been postponed indefinitely, but here is how Microsoft management commented on this news:
“Despite the very serious steady progress in the Chinese market, we need extra time in order to provide our Chinese consumers with the best user experience possible. At Xbox, we are all very proud to have achieved such a high level of quality in our game consoles and video games. And in order to adhere to these standards, we need extra time before launching the Xbox One in China. ”
Recall that the Chinese government only at the end of last year lifted the ban on the sale of foreign game consoles in the country. Prior to that, for more than 10 years, Chinese gamers used exclusively unofficial imports and regular gaming PCs. Now major players of the console market have reached for the Chinese market.
Sony, for example, recently held a press conference at which it presented special Chinese versions of popular games for the local public. Microsoft is also focused on capturing parts of the Chinese gaming market by actively promoting Xbox One on local consumer electronics networks, but apparently it took them extra time to plan and make some improvements.
The Chinese, who managed to pre-order on the Xbox One, will receive their prefix as soon as it becomes available. A special event to launch the console, scheduled for September 22, will be held on schedule without any changes, since a lot of money has already been invested and local celebrities have been invited. However, to buy consoles directly at the festival none of the guests will succeed. But the first 100 lucky ones who will come to the event will receive coupons to receive a free console after it enters the Chinese market.
