Yesterday, an official presentation of new Microsoft products took place, the results of which we already told you in general terms. A new operating system and augmented reality glasses are good. But what's new from the corporation will get fans of video games?
To begin with, the head of the Xbox Phil Spencer announced the closer integration of Windows 10 with the gaming ecosystem Xbox. Now PC users with the official application Xbox, its interface reminiscent of Steam, will be able to purchase games for Xbox One, access their friends list, send them private messages and use the other amenities of the Xbox Live service. Of course, no one canceled the paid Gold-subscription, so most of the features will be available only to subscribers of the service.
The second important announcement was the opportunity to broadcast games from Xbox One to PC and other devices based on Windows 10. It is not entirely clear why you need to broadcast the game from the console to the PC, if the console can be connected to a computer monitor with the HDMI cable that comes with it. Broadcasting games on mobile devices can still be understood - in fact, competitor Sony has long Remote Play with the help of the PlayStation Vita pocket console. In general, the pleasure of this Microsoft innovation is very doubtful.

The Game DVR function will allow gamers to record, and also edit 30-second game clips and share them with friends. Again, in the Sony PlayStation 4 console, you can record clips for 15 minutes, edit them and share the same video in social networks. Microsoft is trying to catch up with the competitor. It's understandable, because the backlog in sales of more than 7 500 000 consoles in just one year - this is not a joke.
Apparently, many games for Xbox One will cease to be exclusive exclusively for the console and still come out on personal computers. It was officially announced that the game Fable Legends will also please PC owners in 2015. Plus, the owners of Xbox One and PC will be able to play on the network against each other. Recall that previously the status of console exclusivity has lost such games as Ryse and Dead Rising 3. A reasonable question arises: why should a PC user purchase an Xbox One game console if he can play all these games using a platform that he already has ?
The new version of DirectX under the number 12 promises to increase the performance of the hardware up to 50% compared to DirectX 11. Phil Spencer demonstrated the difference between two generations of DirectX in the example video, which you can see below. The benchmark demonstrated a different degree of detail on the same hardware, proving that DirectX 12 really allows to produce a more attractive picture. As a result, the animation under DirectX 11 generally hung, and the motion on the screen ceased. What did Microsoft want to prove? That the previous Direct X was written in a hurry, and now they finally started working in good faith?

And now about the pleasant one: did you notice in which T-shirt Phil Spencer came on stage? That's right. On his T-shirt flaunts the logo of the game Battletoads, which can be considered the official announcement of a new game about combat toads. Recently we already wrote about the fact that Microsoft registered the trademark Battletoads in the US, and now this T-shirt with the game logo. Without a doubt, we will learn more about this at the summer exhibition E3 2015.
