Yesterday in France, an exhibition of Paris Games Week 2015, where the best European developers of video games brought their creations to the public. In addition to individual studios, the event was attended by major publishers such as Sony and Microsoft. The first even organized a conference lasting more than an hour and a half, in which the participants were already shown previously announced games, as well as completely new projects that the world saw for the first time. I will try to briefly tell you about what Sony showed us at its conference.

The Sony conference traditionally began with an impressive screen saver on a huge panoramic screen.

On the scene came the president of Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe, Jim Ryan. He greeted all those present in the hall, recalled that this year the very first console of the PlayStation family turned 20 years old and moved to the demonstration of new games. First of all, the audience was shown a zombie mode from the game Call of Duty: Black Ops III, which is called - Giant Zombies.

After this in the hall, the music from the Star Wars, which was familiar to all from childhood, played. New trailer Star Wars: Battlefront showed us the cult characters of Khan Solo and Luke Skywalker, as well as the villains of the Emperor and Darth Vader, whom we can meet in the game.

Came the fighting games. On the scene came the creator of Street Fighter V and introduced a new playable character, which became the Indian Dhalsim. The game will go on sale exclusively for PS4 and PC as early as February 16, 2016. At the start, a roster of 16 characters will be available, and 6 more characters will be added within the first year after the release.

The author of the Tekken series has risen on the stage and announced the release of the seventh part, which is already available on arcade machines, on the PS4 console. Of course, the game will also be released for Xbox One, but exclusive content will be available to PS4 owners. A pleasant surprise was the fact that developers are experimenting with virtual reality and the game will support the PlayStation VR headset.

Studio Gearbox showed a video from his new game Battleborn. The open beta starts exclusively on the PS4 very soon.

Another clone Minecraft called Boundless. I wonder how many more clones of this designer we will show in the coming years?


Famous music producer Avicii presented his new rhythm game Avicii / Vector.

Another video from the first infinite procedurally generated game No Man's Sky. Its release is scheduled for June 2016.

The remake of the very first game of the Ratchet and Clank series visually resembles a very bright and beautiful CG-cartoon. The game will be released in the first half of 2016.

Director of the British studio Guerilla Games showed the new gameplay of the game Horizon: Zero Dawn. This is an exclusive project for PS4, which will tell about the post-apocalyptic future of mankind.

Smart DLC for the game Bloodborne: The Old Hunters will be released next month.

On the stage came Shuhei Yoshida and began to showcase projects for the virtual reality set PlayStation VR. The first to us showed the game Rigs. This is a team shooter in the first person, where people move around the level on rather quick humanoid robots.

The president of the studio Crytek came on the scene and showed us his VR-game Robinson: The Journey. It will first become available to the owners of PS4 consoles and only then it will be released on other platforms.

According to Shuhei Yoshiba, at the moment more than 200 developers are creating new games for the PlayStation VR, so we will not be bored for sure. Not so long ago I already told you about this amazing headset, which I managed to try out personally within the framework of IgroMir 2015. Let's hope that its price and release date will be known in the near future.

Quite unexpectedly Kazunor Yamauchi, the father of the legendary series of autosimulators Gran Turismo, appeared on the stage. He introduced the audience to his new game GT Sport. It will be a mix of simulator and almost full-fledged championship, in which each player represents his own country or a specific car manufacturer. Winners of the championship once a year will receive real cups, just like the famous racers. The beta test of the game will begin in 2016. Yamauchi also noted that his studio Polyphony Digital is working on supporting the PlayStation VR in the game.

The famous game designer Michel Ansel reminded us of his Wild project. This is exclusive for the PS4 console, in which the player acts as a shaman, communicating with nature and deities. The gameplay itself seems very attractive to me. But look at the game yourself.
