Despite the fact that the management of the company did everything possible to increase the user base and increase the library of games, sales of the tiny Android-console continued to fall. It's no surprise that Ouya simply could not compete with serious players in the console market. She could not offer anything new in comparison with smartphones and tablets, since most of the games migrated to the console from Google Play. The acquisition of Ouya by another larger company was only a matter of time.

The purchase amount of Ouya was not disclosed, but Razer founder Min-Liang Tang briefly described it as a "cash transaction". Apparently, the amount was not astronomical, given that Ouya was on the verge of bankruptcy for the last time. Razer got not only the brand Ouya, but also its user base, from which two million gamers play in Ouya every day. Razer will also make a store with more than 1,000 games for the Ouya console, part of its own Cortex service, so you can say that the merger will be almost complete without any loss.

Owners of Ouya prefixes will be able to exchange it for approximately a year to roughly similar platform Razer Forge TV, as well as get a new branded game controller.
