Sony's new software update for its PlayStation 4 gaming console will include support for stamping (streaming video) games on PCs and Macs. The software update version 3.50 is currently in the beta test phase and includes the Remote Play function.
The beta testers have no direct access to the new feature yet, but Sony promise that "very soon" it will be provided. In addition, the new update will add the option of setting the offline mode. In this case, even being "off-line", the user will be notified when his friends will be online.
Adding the Remote Play function with PC and Mac support will put the PlayStation 4 on a par with Microsoft. True, it should be noted that even though the Xbox One prefix already has game streaming support for PCs based on Windows 10, Microsoft has not yet added similar support for Mac computers.
Sony does not yet specify the specific dates associated with the release of the new update, but explains that it will "provide more information" soon and announce the final release date of the new firmware.
