The new gaming console from Nintendo will appear in March 2017

can confirm that the launch of NX is scheduled for March 2017.

The news was reported by representatives of Nintendo during a regular workshop with investors who have recently expressed some concern about the sales of Wii U. This gaming system, despite a number of advantages and interesting innovations that distinguish it from competing platforms, is not going through the best of times. To put it bluntly, things are going wrong: after three years, only about 13 million were sold, which is very sad by today's standards. And this is in view of the fact that the Wii U appeared almost a year earlier than the XBOX One and PS4.

On fans and idiosyncratic, albeit exclusive games, it is difficult to make big money, but Nintendo does well, largely due to the excellent quality of its own games and the sale of Amiibo figures with an integrated NFC module.

But this is a drop in the sea compared to the success of the PS4, whose total sales amounted to 39.8 million devices as of March 26, 2016 and XBOX One with its 20.7 million.

Nevertheless, the company Nintendo tightly entrenched in the portable gaming segment, taking it by 80% and squeezing psVITA from Sony at the start. It pleases, but the situation with home gaming devices needs to be corrected, and poor advertising and almost total lack of support by third-party publishers have already done their job. Wii U is time to give way to a new console that can compete with competitors not only with a strong exclusive game line, but also with a powerful stuffing that allows you to give out a quality picture in multiplatform projects. Therefore, the announcement of the Nintendo NX, which seemed premature last year, looks quite logical now, as Wii U sales will not rise at all, and fans who bought the console earlier will continue to buy announced games and exclusive hits that went on sale, allowing developers to fully concentrate on the Nintendo NX.

Unfortunately, in addition to the release date of the new Nintendo gaming system, nothing interesting was reported about it, so the console continues to grow rumors. In particular, some time ago there was unconfirmed information that NX - not one console, but two - a portable system and a stationary one. They can work as a pair, or separately. The company Nintendo did not comment on this rumor, leaving analysts and fans of second-rate sensations even more room for articles and creativity.

More information about the NX company Nintendo promises to disclose later, but it is already known that the new part of the game series The Legend of Zelda, which is under development, will visit both Wii U and NX. The team is actively working on both versions.
