Game console NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) first appeared on sale in the distant 1983. It was a specially adapted for the American market Japanese console Famicom (in our country Famicom became known only in the early 90s under the guise of Taiwan clones Dendy). According to official data, more than 60 million such consoles have been sold worldwide. And yesterday Nintendo officially announced that it plans to resurrect its 8-bit legend in a very original way.
NES was quite different from Famicom. The body and loading of cartridges with games was decided to do in the image and likeness of VCRs, so that Americans could easily get comfortable with the console. Cartridges greatly increased in size and were supplied with additional protection against piracy. Game controllers are easily detached from the console. At Famicom they were tightly connected to the case, and if the controller went out of order, there was no way to replace it. NES also received a composite RCA output instead of a RF modulator, which was equipped with Famicom.

Nintendo announced the release of a smaller version of the NES console, which will go on sale on November 11 this year and will be called the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System. The case of the updated set-top box will be so tiny that it fits easily on your palm. Unfortunately, the prefix will not be able to play cartridges with games, but instead it will store 30 classic games from Nintendo and other game publishers. In the list of these games are such immortal hits as the first three parts of Super Mario Bros., two parts of Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Pac-Man, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II, Super Contra and many, many others.
As many of us would like, this list will not expand with time, which means that the prefix can basically reproduce only these games and no more. In the kit with it will go one classic NES-controller. An additional controller for playing together can be purchased at a price of 9.99 dollars. The very same prefix will cost $ 59, which in terms of our money is approximately 3800 rubles. Many will say that you can buy a Chinese clone Famicom for 1000 rubles and a bunch of cartridges to him for a penny. But it's much nicer to get an original Nintendo console in your collection.
