In a world of virtual and augmented reality, something is always happening. Some companies come, others leave. Someone is entertained with plastic "cardboards", someone creates solutions that require computers with enviable performance. But, as always, Sony went its own way, so in the fall on the market will be a product with the logo of the Japanese company and the nameplate PlayStation VR. We want to introduce you to him right now.
So, what is the PlayStation VR? Well helmet for virtual reality as a helmet. With the display, the division of the image into two eyes, tracking the position in space and the like. Nothing unusual for the modern world. But the way it is implemented, causes respect.

A separately connected headset or headphones is responsible for the sound. What I liked - so it's the most convenient adjustment of the helmet for the user's head. There are no straps, puffs and the like, you just push the headband to the maximum length by pressing the button near the back of the head, putting on the PlayStation VR, the arc is tightened automatically and it remains only to press the headband slightly with the regulator.
Adjustment of the lens system is carried out in a similar way: you are required to press one button and move the main lens unit to the desired position. The most interesting thing is that the glasses in the PlayStation VR are quite comfortable. The only thing that grieves - not to play in the heat, because the misted over lenses in a stuffy room swiftly, and in some gloomy horror, any unnoticed object or opponent is a defeat.

The need for additional accessories is justified by the implementation of the very technology of tracking movements in the PlayStation VR. Here as with PS Move - on the helmet there are glowing dots, which are the reference point for PS Camera. At the same time, the accuracy of positioning is very high - it's easy to understand from the many demo versions of games that you can already test on the virtual reality helmet test samples. Well, what else to use the controller in virtual reality? Of course, Move - not a gamepad the same waving (although it is possible and this - we tried in the same Resident Evil 7) .

Overall impressions from several demonstration games remained extremely positive: the immersion effect is achieved as fully as possible. Moreover, even with the insufficient graphic component in a number of games, I did not want to stop the test races with shootings in London Heist, and as a result I was asked to move away from the wall so that I would not unintentionally break PS Move. That's because the human brain is strange: it's like a foreign object, this Move, not a continuation of the hand, but you get used to being controlled by virtual extremities quickly and without extra effort you throw the machine from hand to hand, try to shoot and forget about how control happens.

As for the starting set of games - in stores you can find just under 20 titles that will be able to "make friends" with the PlayStation VR. By the end of the year, their number will increase to 50, and all over the development of games for virtual reality under the version of Sony is working under 200 studios from Ubisoft to obscure indie developers, so the helmet to collect dust you just will not.

Well, the price. All we know is the guaranteed availability of a box with a helmet at a price equivalent to 400 euros in October. But that's what the internal rate of the Russian division of Sony will be equal to - a big question, so you can assume the price in a wide range, from 30 to 40 thousand rubles. Add to this a pair of PS Move controllers, a camera and headphones are better, for a longer dive. But still, even with this approach, the PlayStation VR compares favorably with the main competitors that came out of the pen of Oculus and HTC / Valve.
