Owners of PlayStation 4 will get professional gamepads

Last night Sony made a completely unusual announcement. As you know, Xbox One owners have long been able to purchase the so-called Xbox One Elite Controller, which is an improved in all respects standard gamepad in a unique design, with fine tuning of controls, additional buttons and switches. So, the owners of PS4 now can also afford something like this. True, PRO-gamepads will be produced not by the Japanese corporation itself, but by two third-party companies - Razer and Nacon, but under the official license of Sony.

The first gamepad, manufactured by Razer, is called Raiju. We remember very well that this company devoted many years to making life of professional gamers easier and more comfortable. This gamepad was also designed primarily for use in professional e-sports (and this is not only on PC, but also on consoles). The controller will be able to boast of the presence of a third pair of buttons-bumpers, as well as two additional rear triggers M3 and M4, which, in which case, you can even remove. At the bottom of the gamepad is a special set of keys to control the voice chat and switch between saved profiles. Also on the controller there are switches for setting the triggers, by means of which, for example, it is possible to activate their supersensitive response. Analog handles can be worn with special rubber "hats" to improve the grip of the fingers with these controls.

The second PRO-controller is called Revolution, and its company Nacon produces. You can immediately notice that the analog handles are located the same way as on the gamepad of Microsoft. These handles have an extended stroke of 46 degrees, which will allow the player to access the unparalleled accuracy of aiming and movements. Also, the gamepad is equipped with additional four buttons for fine-tuning and a unique eight-button D-Pad. Eight profiles that are stored in the memory controller, you can configure in the official application for the PC - not very convenient, but at least everything should work as it should. You can reassign buttons, configure macros and adjust the sensitivity of buttons and triggers. Moreover, do not forget that recently Sony officially made DualShock 4 available to Steam users. Both controllers are wired to minimize the delay between pressing the buttons and the reaction of the game. The length of the detachable cables is 3 meters.

Both professional controllers should go on sale before the end of this year. The price of the devices has not yet been reported. But they are unlikely to be more expensive than a similar solution from Microsoft, which today stands in Russia an impressive 12,000 rubles.
